Founder & Host - Nina Brazier

Nina is a RADA-trained stage director, and alongside her freelance work is a Staff Director at Oper Frankfurt. She has recently directed Ariadne auf Naxos (semi-staged) Oper Frankfurt, Carmen & Don Giovanni (both Oper für Kinder, Oper Frankfurt), Le Nozze di Figaro (Saluzzo Opera Academy & Berlin Opera Academy), the world premiere of Dear Marie Stopes (Kings Place, London), East West Street (ongoing world tour, including Alte Oper Frankfurt, Southbank Centre London, MuTh Vienna, 92nd St Y New York, Berlin Konzerthaus, Théâtre National de la Colline, Paris), and Drei Kurzopern, Julietta, La Damnation de Faust and Ariadne auf Naxos (revivals) at Oper Frankfurt. Nina is also head of the English Language Committee for Eurodram.

Producer - Karen Pirie

The Opera Pod is produced by Karen Pirie for Feast Collective. Karen is a radio producer with 15 years' experience producing programmes mainly for BBC Radio 4 including the award-winning The Reunion, Feedback, and You and Yours. She has also made arts programmes for the BBC World Service and Radio 3. Podcast production credits include How to Own the Room, Meet Me at the Museum and Walks of Art for The Tate. She also makes podcasts and offers training to a number of arts and heritage sector clients in her native Cornwall where she enjoys sea swimming, walking and performing with her duo Campion.
